The end of one term has passed and so has the beginning of another one. My workload is extremely heavy as I prepare to embark on my senior project. The practical real-world exercise that tests what I have learned over the past five years.

I won’t be making many posts between now and August I don’t think. I’m running an intellectual gauntlet made up of project management, proposals, and teamwork. I can’t even think enough to compose a somewhat meaningful post.

A group of friends and I took a half-day of vacation from work today to make our way to the Arena Grand Theater to check out Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was as wonderfully whimsical as the books that I read so long ago. It’s been widely criticized for it’s failure to stay true to the books. To be honest, it’s been so long since I have read them I don’t remember many of the details except for vague things like Arthur’s house getting bulldozed, the Vogon poetry readings, the Babel fish, 42, and so on. Unlike some of my fellow geeks I don’t tend to reread books over and over again. It was however thoroughly enjoyable and I look forward to "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" should they decide to make that into a movie. I’ll probably go out and get the compilation of Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s trilogy and re-read them (thus contradicting myself).
